16:36:29  <dromer20> and i have them enabled, but it's not working, i.e. i would expect to be able to connect to railroad of a competitor but instead i get the default  "... owned by XXX transport inc"

16:52:20  <dromer20> I figured it out :) Trains can actually run on other people's infrastructure, your just not able to build on an existing railroad track (the other party has to build a switch for you, or you have to connect at a straight end piece, ie a station)
