19:26:32 <Belugas> soo... OTTD is back on the android market. At least, Pelya's version
19:29:26 <Yexo> yep, not much progress from me. Still stuck getting SDL 2 to work
19:40:42 <michi_cc> Means at least that whoever was behind the takedown isn't prepared to actually spend any money (or is fully aware that their claim would never be upheld by a judge).
19:41:57 <frosch123> or is just not as fast with filing stuff :p
19:41:58 <Terkhen> they did not explain the reason for the original takedown?
19:42:27 <frosch123> Terkhen: some lawyer representing cs in us claimed infringement of ttd
19:46:48 <Terkhen> oh, I see
19:47:30 <michi_cc> A lawyer should be fully aware how the DMCA system works and be prepared for some legal injunction if they are indeed serious. But this of course also means they are fully aware that counter-claims are rarely filed, giving them a free pot shot even if the claim hasn't gotten any truth to it at all.
19:48:37 <frosch123> how does it actually work? can they repeat the request and keep on taking it down for two weeks unless the other side takes action?
19:49:03 <frosch123> or are duplicated requests automatically rejected?
19:49:14 <Yexo> not sure, but I think a second dcma request should be ignored
19:57:28 <michi_cc> I'd think so, too. The law states that a lawsuit has to be filed within 14 days after a counter notice or the ISP is obliged to restore the content. This wouldn't make much sense if all it would take are repeat take-downs.
20:42:19 <Belugas> Yexo, i spent quite a few moments trying to understand how that whole circus can be made working, but honestly, i'm so spoiled by delphi that i cannot understand a think on it
20:44:20 <Yexo> I'll write some notes on what I have so far later this week, but no time for that now
20:49:47 *** frosch123 has quit IRC
21:02:29 <Belugas> yeah well... nor do I have, since my basement STILL requires some touch up here and there...
21:02:30 <Belugas> night al
21:09:42 <Terkhen> good night Belugas
