08:56:58 <Tron_> it needs special casing in the pathfinder anyway (you can't drive through them)
08:57:12 <Tron_> so a trackstatus of 0 is perfectly fine for the pathfinder
08:57:23 <Tron_> it has handle a special case anyway

09:06:45 <Tron> Darkvater: well, it must handle it anyway in some kind of way. all GetTileTrackStatus tells is "can be passed in X direction" for example
09:06:58 <Tron> but the pathfinder still has to find out from which side it can enter
09:07:16 <Tron> there _must_ be a special case in yapf already
09:07:34 <Tron> otherwise road vehicles would try to enter stations from the back all the time
09:08:14 <Darkvater> so GetTileTrackStatus_Road should return 0 for depot?
09:08:41 <Tron> maybe yapf relies on it returning something != 0, but this should be easily fixable
09:08:59 <Tron> as i said: it must handle stations/depots in a special way anyway
09:09:08 <Darkvater> well, it's best to sync this with KUDr as he knows best

12:23:19 <MeusH> then he created a "suburb" city
12:23:28 <MeusH> within the borders of the big city
12:23:36 <MeusH> and he deleted the big city
12:24:31 <MeusH> the small city has population of around 500
12:24:57 <MeusH> when he deleted some buildings, population went to 65 something (I think it's overflow)
12:25:03 <MeusH> 65 thousand
12:26:08 <MeusH> but actually the city has around one thousand people
12:26:12 <MeusH> he clicked "expand"

17:43:56 <PandaMojo> Well, here's a question - if I submit a patch that would turn a crashing bug into something less critical (e.g. display glitch), what are the chances of something like that being accepted into trunk?
17:44:19 <AsterixMG> i'd say low
17:44:52 <AsterixMG> probably it would be better to do a real fix instead a workaround
17:45:25  <ln-> PandaMojo: below zero.
17:45:33 <PandaMojo> Of course - but the difference is that I know how to do the former, whereas the later probably involves tracking down some race condition :-/

17:48:45 <PandaMojo> Yeah, and that I can't narrow down the cause of :-S
17:48:49 *** Wolf01|AFK is now known as Wolf01
17:50:51 <AsterixMG> and what do you think would solve the crash, PandaMojo ?
17:51:52 <PandaMojo> Well, since the one time I did manage to get it caught in the debugger it crashed due to a null pointer dereference in DrawWindowViewport, I'd basically assert() for debug mode, or bail out and just not draw it in release mode.
17:52:50 <AsterixMG> well, adding an assert is probably not considered a bugfix ;)
17:53:35 <PandaMojo> The bug is that it's drawing a null-viewport window in the first place obviously, but at least it'd allow the game to keep running.
17:55:06 <AsterixMG> btw, what version did did the bug in the added comment appear in? (and for the future: when you report a bug, put in which version you are reporting it for)

22:46:28 <Bjarni> I never ported the game to MacOS and never will
22:46:33 <Bjarni> I ported to MacOS X
22:46:37 <Bjarni> big difference
22:47:14 <Sacro> PEDANTS
22:48:10 <Bjarni> Sacro: no, it's like say the windows XP porter got a page saying "windows 95 porter" or even "DOS porter"
22:48:24 <Bjarni> MacOS and MacOS X are totally different
22:49:00 <Bjarni> MacOS X is unix like, while MacOS lacks even the most simple access to a CLI interface
22:49:06 <Sacro> 95 and XP arent
22:49:22 <Sacro> but i know what you mean, ive used Mac OS and OSX
22:49:24 <Bjarni> yeah, bad comparison
22:50:29 <Bjarni> MacOS X is totally rewritten and they started out with FreeBSD, not MacOS in mind
22:50:33 <MeusH> done, Bjarni
22:50:43 <Bjarni> they made the GUI MacOS like, but the internals are not

22:59:56 <Bjarni> the funny thing is that people even talked about lack of easter eggs AFTER I added it. They just didn't find it

All of a sudden one of them dropped and the other ones could not wake him up. They discovered that the vodka bottle (or something similar in strength) was half empty and they had opened it that night and nobody else had taken any of it, so they decided to call the doctor, who said right away "call an ambulance"
23:38:40 <Sacro> heh
23:38:58 <Bjarni> when he graduated, they made a book with remarks for everybody and it said about this guy "(name) is a good driver. Even after drinking half a bottle of vodka can he drive in an ambulance"
23:39:32 <Bjarni> I think he was 17 or something when this happened
