16:08:51 <frosch123> planetmaker: ^Spike^: kallithea vm is out-of-inodes :/
16:42:39 <frosch123> <- looks like it is that
16:42:40 <Webster> Title: RhodeCode: remove outdated session data — it-spirit (at
18:05:02 <DevZone> Project finnishtrams build #169: STILL FAILING in 0.41 sec:
18:15:01 <DevZone> Project Building sprite test project build #829: FAILURE in 0.15 sec:
21:53:10 <planetmaker> o_O that's not... too good
22:04:18 <frosch123> it's almost done
22:04:23 <frosch123> then another cron job :)
22:05:29 <frosch123> 5 hours of deleting files, how silly
22:05:56 <planetmaker> :D what did you delete?
22:08:15 <frosch123> as linked above
22:08:27 <frosch123> kallithea creates one file per session and never deletes them
22:08:34 <planetmaker> ah, missed that one
22:08:36 <planetmaker> how very silly
22:08:40 <frosch123> they accumulated since 2015 to 3M files
22:09:03 <frosch123> well, more than 3M
22:09:15 <frosch123> progress is currently at 3.5M files
22:09:32 <planetmaker> :D
22:09:41 <frosch123> 3.8M inodes are there in total, but some files will remain surely :p
22:09:56 <planetmaker> well, hopefully something remains ;)
22:10:31 <planetmaker> I wonder whether one should go back to rhodecode... but I'm still very anxious after that open source to closed source tantrum with it
22:10:52 <frosch123> well, above thing is about rhodecode :p
22:11:30 <planetmaker> well, yeah... but kallithea is basically the last version of rhodecode distributed as open source before that incident with minor fixes
22:12:12 <frosch123> no idea, i have a hard time to understand the purpose of rhodecode/kallithea
22:12:24 <planetmaker> in terms of DevZone setup?
22:12:48 <frosch123> it seems it's used to provide http readonly access to repos
22:13:11 <planetmaker> Yeah, mostly yes.
22:13:15 <frosch123> isn't there something more lightweight for that?
22:14:22 <planetmaker> We chose it to provide a unified interface which serves both, hg and git. And which, in principle, also allows forking of repos. However that was never implemented in a way that users could register there or extend their devzone registration ther so that they could actually use it
22:15:42 <planetmaker> It has - contrary to redmine - a nice rest interface with which one can control repo creation etc. Thus that can easier be done with kallithea/rhodecode than with e.g. redmine.
22:15:54 <planetmaker> howver... the state of the current afair: no, there's not much benefit there
22:16:35 <planetmaker> the previous hg serve instance however also barfed... and docs say it's not meant for the zillions of repos which we have
22:16:51 <planetmaker> more as a make-shift solution than what we need
22:37:12 <frosch123> done
22:37:43 <frosch123> only 50k inodes used now
